Samsung Galaxy S7 - Vibration Not Working

I have a Samsung S7 that does not vibrate. It does NOT vibrate in normal mode, safe mode and TWRP recovery

Model number: SM-G930FD (Dual sim)
Software version: 6.0.1
Bootloader: G930FXXS1APGC

Rooted using ChainFire-Auto-Root. I'm pretty sure this is where I messed up because I used the closest version I could find. Which was Samsung SM-G930F (single sim) for android 7.0

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated

  • First of all, i am pretty sure the vibration modules are the exact same in both models. I first recommend you go onto xda and find the exact stock rom for your device. If that does not work, keep the stock rom installed and try to claim warranty as you have 2 years warranty. See if there is a way to enable the knox trip again. Samsung has a thing that goes off when you root

    • Thanks for your input. I think you are right, if I upgrade everything to stock it will work again. Warranty isn't an option because I tried the KNOX when I unlocked that bootloader.

      • It can be a faulty vibration module, my last phone had a vibration module that stopped working after a year and a half so yes they do screw up. There are ways to untrip the knox thing, how successful they are is really something i am unsure about. You can try a local phone repair shop, shouldn't cost more than $100 to replaces (i know, really expensive for $5 module). There is always youtube
