Any Victoria off-The-Grid Getaway Recommendation?

Hi guys,

I am looking for a one day getaway with my partner.
I feel like I need some place off-the-grid so I can rest my mind from busy work and eyes from staring at computer screen whole day.
Any recommendation within Victoria? preferably no longer than 3 hours drive from Melbourne.

Thanks all.

  • Anywhere in the Grampians Shire.

Spent my childhood between there and the Noosa hinterland in QLD, both of which I have fond memories.

Like any of the old used-to-be-pov type areas, they're popular destinations now, but I think there's still some back-to-basics type charm still to be had if you have a good look around.

  • Pretty sure 1 night won't reset you…

  • We always enjoy getting out to Hepburn Springs as needed for a spa/relaxation weekend. There's usually a Groupon on offer, for example https://www.groupon.com.au/deals/ga-hepburn-at-hepburn-5

    • Have a look at Forty Acres Shed on airbnb. We stayed there a few months ago… Completely off the grid - no TV, no Internet. Very very rustic and basic though.

  • Grampians or Daylesford are both good suggestions. Bright (and surrounds, Myrtleford etc) is nice too

  • Just go to a well managed bush campsite. No recomendations personally, but the national parks website has many recomended spots.
