    • Correct, and that's what we are looking to "Overstay Tariff Car Parks Rates"

  • From the FAQ: Is there a grace period on my booking?
There is a 1 hour grace for either side of your booking arrival time (i.e. if you have a booked arrival time of 9.00am on Wednesday the car park will recognise your booking if you arrive any time between 8.00am and 10.00am on Wednesday).
However, if you enter outside of this booked arrival time and the grace period, the credit card that you use to enter and exit the car park (i.e. your nominated card) will be debited with the cost of the total time spent in the car park based on the rates displayed at the entry to the car park.

    • This FAQ is grace period for arriving only.

  • Not sure if I'm interpreting this correctly - I've had a look at the rates in your link and it's got 0-4 hours, 4-6 hours and 6-24 hours and so on.

The 4-6 hours and 6-24 hours has the same price listed.

I read it as though staying (in the long term carpark as an example) for the first 0-4 hours is free, staying for a total of 0-6 hours is $10 and a total stay of 6-24 hours is still $10.

    Am I missing something here?

  • Here's another table of rates … still seems like a good deal:

    Not sure which is correct.

    • where you got this from? the link i referred to is from the terms and conditions page.

      • same …

  • Hmmm….they mention the word 'tariff', so isn't this like a surcharge on top of their standard rates? So if let's say 1 hr is $10 per hour, the first 0-4 over stay is $0 extra charge but after that it is $10?

    • +1

The word 'tariff' does make it confusing. It does often mean 'additional' but sometimes it just means the rate, eg. in taxis the tariff is the rate you are being charged at, with hotels nightly prices are sometimes called tariffs, etc.

It woulds be far less confusing if they used the word 'surcharge' if that's what they meant. Of course, if they don't mean that, the OP seems to have found an excellent loophole.
