What Is The CHEAPEST Way to Get to Avalon VIC from Sydney

My son and I have to go and collect my mum from Melbourne. We will be driving back with her in her car. We sorta need to do this ASAP and on a budget ☺ any suggestions

Walking would be cheapest, 200hrs ;)
    Drive? 9hrs?
    Bus ?
    Fly?

Try https://www.greyhound.com.au/ or https://www.webjet.com.au/ find the cheapest :)

Wrong, walking requires an exothermic reaction in the form of burning calories which you will have to replace via purchasing and consuming food.

If you instead meditate non-stop for the next two decades you will transcend to a omnipotent spiritual being who can relocate merely by visualizing their new surrounds. Can recommend, 10/10.

I think its like $95 pp tommorow night with jetstar $69 pp next tuesday and wednesday

  • Why Avalon not Tullamarine?

    • I'm guessing mum and the car are closer to Avalon than Tullamarine.

  • If you fail to find cheap flights bus and finding a one car relocation deal is probably your best bet. see transfer cars

  • There are share rides where you can get a lift from someone. Usually the cost is splitting the petrol or the driver set a predetermined rate. Google it :)

    • Have u done this? What site could you recommend??

    • Not sure about this… is it a safe way to travel??

  • Mum is nearer to Avalon

  • If you want to fly to Avalon you have a choice of Jetstar…..and Jetstar.

You could catch the train from Sydney overnight and take the Skybus to Avalon. By the way, from experience I can almost guarantee this option would suck and may even cost more.

    • Thanks maybe just a bus all the way… long trip.. but at least not so many changes

  • Maybe not the cheapest, but comparable to a flight is the XPT train from Sydney Central to Melbourne = $65 for students

Depending how soon you want to fly, Jetstar has $49 pp flights (sydney - avalon) from 17th of July.

  • Check Gumtree, under travel and ride share.

  • Can u do one way rentals… not relocations but rent a car for a day only??

    • Yes, this is possible but the costs are high.

  • Stay at home and tell your mum to drive herself to Sydney.

  • Doing the train… decision made thank u ☺
