Need a deal on NBN ready modem/router.

Whats the chances Ill get a deal tomorrow on ebay etc as I need to buy an ASUS DSL 68U or Netgear D7000 mod/router. I assume I need a modem and not just router with NBN FTTN. Hook up appointment is supposed to be Thursday so kind of pressed for time but a few days delivery is fine, have mobile I can tether off.

Will be using BuzzTelco, on their 100/40 FTTN. Or better options if you like. Anyone got any insight into upcoming ebay type discounts?

  • Why do you need an 68u or d7000? Just get a cheap one from off gumtree and wait for a deal to come up.

  • Assuming you already have a wireless router, I would say buy a cheap modem and use bridge mode into whatever router you currently have, and similar to what sp00ker said, wait till a good deal comes up.

    • is it because the vdsl modem part doesn't affects performance & stability ?

  • I just bought a cheap one for FTTN, because it's cheap $26.70:

There was one for $25 posted, but can't find it at mo.

    whirlpool has a big list:
