$11.50 now. And surcharges apply for 3D, reclining seats and x-streme screen sessions. Also not available after 5pm on Sats. I used Optus perks for a long time though, but will try out choovie for when I go to the movies with family in Ballarat.

You can also get $10 tickets from certain cinemas, like Hoyts Reading at Rhodes shopping centre.

The selection of cinemas is very limited, but the more competition the better I guess.

  • Nice idea. Though $10 doesn't seem to be max price as indicated in the title, some movies listed at $13.25

    • Worse yet, the price for some sessions exceeds that of the cinema price. I've revoked my upvote for now - hopefully this is an oversight choovie rep?

Wonder Woman, Sat 8th July @ 6.30pm - $18 per ticket with Choovie
Wonder Woman, Sat 8th July @ 6.30pm - $14 per ticket with Regent Cinemas

Thanks for the spot! We'll get that corrected asap.
Prices on Choovie should never exceed the listed cinema price, however, depending on demand there may be a limited number available at the lower price.

Sorry if the title was misleading! $6.25-$10 is the range of lowest prices (depending on cinema), however there will always be tickets at higher prices for busier or more popular screenings.
We'll definitely have more cinemas on board soon!

Cool idea, nice to see my local Croydon getting in on it. I'm a member there and get $8 tickets whenever I want, but with a nearly 17 month old and reading down the road being 10 we've not been in much. Or at all, in a while.

Cool site though, but TBH I ain't gonna bother to save 50 cents, but for some more expensive cinemas this could be real useful.

  • i just keep getting an error message when i try to select a movie session.

"Oops!! something went wrong while holding tickets. Please try again"

    • Sorry to hear it! Generally that means that tickets for the session sold out during the process, could you please let us know which cinema and session you were trying? Shoot us an email at [email protected] and we'll help you get it sorted out.
