Officeworks' refund policy

Hi

Does anyone know if Officeworks allows refund for change of mind on hardware products? For instance, if I buy an adapter that turns out not to fit, will I be able to get a refund?

Thanks

Sigh. Took me less time to google than for you to post I imagine.

      • Do you have the original packaging? Then yes theyll take it back, but if not then it will be less likely

        • What if I had the cut the packaging open (neatly)?

          @mun4:

Good question, https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/storelocator find store near you and go ask them :), sorry I had to google that too.

        • @mun4: do you still have the neatly cut packaging? Then as above.

        • @JimmyF: I haven't bought it yet, but I've seen the packaging and it'll need to be cut open.

        • @mun4:
When you shopping, if the package is open, would you buy it? if the answer is NO, then don't buy it :)

        • @mun4:

Why not go and ask them about the adaptor you need and that would suit your needs? Take the plug or a photo of what you need and they will be able to help you?

@mun4: If you haven't purchased yet, why not tell the store what you need when you purchase, and ask at the time of purchase if you can refund if it isn't correct? This post seems a bit lazy to me.

The epitome of laziness. Call them and find out yourself!

Kind of tossing between laziness and stupidity. Both perhaps?

      • But I've read posts saying how it's store specific. Some allow it, but some don't.

If you think it is store specific, then don't buy it from a store that won't allow it.

      • You should generally ask the Officeworks store themselves prior to purchase to see if you can refund the item if you have cut it out of it's packaging.

If you bought a printer consumable for example, I don't think they will let you have it exchanged… especially since they can't tell if you've used it or not.

It is generally up to the salesperson or manager to let you have that refunded / exchanged. I work retail and it's really up to "the mood of the manager"… sometimes you can get a refund and sometimes you can't.

If you've got nothing constructive to say to OP then don't say it, go and find a hobby.

Yes you will be able to return it for a refund. Officeworks are very liberal with their returns. Doesn't matter if the packaging has been opened.

      Ozb is a hobby.

Unfortunately not a very constructive hobby for some.

Would it not be better if you post about your specific issue then to waste time buying and returning something?.
