So just like you would soundproof your room if you wanted to dampen the sound what are some good complete block out options for the light. Think tinted windows for cars. As always cheapest best option is best don't wanna spend more than $200 on this if possible.

Just something that will turn my room into night during the day mainly especially morning light.

Go to spotlight and check their curtains out they have ones that actually say Blockout/Blackout on the packaging. but they work great.
OP shop. some old blankets. or old curtains.
If you're rich then block out curtains, if you want to go the cheap way I use aluminum foil, cheap, blocks it out great, reflects back the sun (take that sun!). Especially helpful if you just want to block out part of the window.

I have blockout curtains- cheap on ebay- but a little bit of light leaks in over the top of them. The neighbour sometimes leaves their porch light on all night so I wasn't getting total blackout at night. I put aluminium foil on the top 30cm of the window.
If you already have nice curtains you could get 3 pass linings for them. Which is a rubber coated fabric usually white or beigey. Otherwise, block out curtains on ebay are fairly cheap.
Pity you specified curtains, or I'd suggest a spray can of black paint. :)
