Has There Ever Been Any Cheap Airfares During The Christmas Break?

So only time I can travel is during the Christmas break (I used up all my annual leave).

Was just wondering has there ever been any cheap airfares during the Christmas break/ first week of January? Anyone here managed to get cheap tickets during this travel period? And if so how?

  I've been wondering the same too, as it'll be the school holidays.
  Been thinking Asia or the great dividing range.

  Flying on Dec 25 seems to be cheaper than other dates near that lol

  The flight/hotel deal on the front page now starts on the 7th Jan, but I can't remember a sale that ran over Xmas <-> New Year.
  My best suggestion is to plan well in advance, and try and use frequent flyer points. Because there aren't sale fares available, you get good value for your points, compared to redeeming them at times when flights can be had cheaper.
  Of course, this is also a prime time to redeem points too, so you need to book early and be flexible.
