Please help me find R/Hand indicator lens which fits in the bumper of a 1997 Tarago import.

Dear ozbargainers, i have rented a cheap vehicle and unfortunately the right hand front indicator assembly has fallen out, so i need to replace it unfortunately Toyota tell me its an imported vehicle so they dont stock the part. On the import models their is a indicator assembly which is in the bumper bar, what i need is the driver side or r/hand side indicator assembly. I can pick up anywhere from Broome to Cairns. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Does it have to be brand new? Ring around some wreckers, they might be your best bet?

…. the right hand front indicator assembly….

  • By "fallen out"…. Do you mean you hit something and it fell off ?

Maybe Post a picture of the missing part (where it should go).

Your best bet is probably wreckers or eBay

I tried wreckers and ebay but because its import its hard to find.

      • you tried different search terms?

        tarago also goes by previa

        and estima

i see hits for estima with the model in the picture on gumtree

        It's not a tarago it's called a estima.

Found a LHS part on eBay https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/251834811065

Seller seems to live in Japan. Perhaps contact them and have the part couriered

What actually happened ? You say it's a rental car… Did you have a small prang?

There's no chance you'll get a part from somewhere on the road, you'll have to set up a parcel locker or something along the way.

        • I didn't have a prang, it's fallen out somewhere it's an old car so I guess things can become loose.

        • @Normie: In that case ask the seller on eBay if the left hand side shape is the same as the right and if not can they source you a right hand side one.

They seem like the right sort of people. It's a Japanese only model. You pretty much need to import the part.

  • I believe it's called Toyota Estima or Previa in case anyone can find a part from overseas…

If it's rented, wouldn't you just let the car rental company deal with it, or are you trying to avoid some sort of excess? Did you not get insurance?

    • Yes I have insurance, but I don't really know where I stand on this one as the car wasn't involved in accident, but u are suppose to return the car in the same condition as you received it in. The rental car company just said get a replacement part.

      • Weird for them to ask you to source the part…

        • I am over 2500 Km from their nearest branch, they just trying to offer a solution, they have offered to get a new one fitted once i reach cairns.

  • Thanks everyone, just waiting for replies from some of the people you mentioned.

    • Unfortunately no one you mentioned has the part, but i received a email from the rental company that they can but a new one in once i reach cairns, so i assume they have the part. Thank you for everyone's help, i really appreciate it.

  • Thanks everyone for your help, the rental company had a spare and fitted it on the spot for no charge.
