The Ikea ladda 2450 are made in Japan and are comparable to eneloop pro or fujitsus as reviewed here

        • ok, ta i'll have a look

  • I got the D4 and Liiokala Lii-500, I much prefer Lii-500 as it has an analysing function and is able to charge at 1A on all 4 bays. Particularly important when charging AA NiMH, charging AA at lower amperage runs the risk of missed termination.

    • thanks for those links, clears up the charging rate confusion…

      • Lol sorry about that I was replying on my phone and couldn't find the links I had read many months ago and didn't get a chance to read them but if you search those forums there is plenty of info on the topic and reviews on chargers. The problem with the D4 is it can only charge 2 slots at 750ma, when you use 4 slots it drops to 325ma which is below the recommended .3C for AA. The Maha MH-C9000 seems to be the charger that gets recommended the most but is pricey and the Lii-500 is the budget alternative. You can get a geniune Lii-500 from the Liitokala store on Aliexpress.

yep, plenty of reviews on the www (world-wide-wait)…so i bought a c9000 on the wdw (within-driving-distance) and a pack of eneloop pro's on the wwd (within-walking-distance)…i could have got a c800 for 8 dollars and 8 kilometers more but c9000 is more versatile…. atm it is trying to recover the aldi rechargables. ta for your help
