  • In the early 1970's the BBC literally dumped quite a few episodes to save storage space. There was no VCR yet, they were considered too old for repeats and sales to foreign TV channels had dried up.

Strangely, The Doctors Revisited Volume 1 is included in the deal, but The Doctors Revisited Volume 2 (Davison, Baker, McCoy, McGann) isn't.

Yeah I went in store for this and most of the ones I wanted were excluded. I guess only the slow selling DVDs are included. Couldn't find 2 I wanted that I didn't already have sadly.

I'm looking to start my classic Who collection, and the Doctors Revisited looked like a good place to start. Shame they're not both included in the special, even though volume 2 is $8 dearer. But yeah, looks like they're getting rid of old stock or DVDs that haven't been selling well.

        • Btw, if you're not too hurried to get the DVDs, Fishpond can be cheap but they take a while to deliver. Plus they have a wider range of DVDs. The no 1 classic Dr Who has to be 'Genesis of the Daleks'. Check that out if you don't have it. Its awesome. Fishpond is in the UK so I think their DVDs are for a different region to Australia but a lot of DVD players are multi region now. Good luck with your collection!

    You're an alien? Yep
And this is called a TARDIS? Yep
TARDIS stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space? Yep
But.. that's using the English language ………….. People don't usually pick up on that…..

The translation circuit is a long-established plot device.
