Mate Vs Barefoot ADSL2+ - Which Would You Choose?

Hey all,

Need to change from my current aanet DSL 100GB plan to an unlimited plan. No NBN in my area so stuck with ADSL2+ until 2019

Looking at either Mate or Barefoot both $49 per month- Both reviewed pretty well and was wondering if anyone had any experience with these or could make another suggestion.

Would like to keep it to $50 a month non-bundled if possible and $0 setup fee. TIA

I am going for unlimited. Wanting to change from 100GB plan to an unlimited plan

  • Never heard of them, what Exchange are you connected to?

    • Flemington in VIC

  • Skymesh get good reviews…They also match any deal excluding unlimited plans

Check spintel is very good no connection fee if you go for long term, I pay $39.90 something for 40 GB include telephone rental, and good part when you cross 40 gb automatic they charge for 100 GB NOT FOR UNLIMITED WHICH MAY BE AROUND 49.90 so basically you pay what you use for a month. When you cross 100 gb will be charge 59.90 for unlimited internet, they also do not count upload data as usage. If you want referral code let me know it will save $25.00 too.
I have no problem with internet yet since 2 years not dropping me out. But check yourself.

    • This looks like a great deal - essentially unlimited data and line rental for $54.95 per month (they have a special $0 no contract which I like).

However i was under the impression (may be incorrectly) that Spintel was using Optus kit and not on the Telstra network? Is this correct?

  • Yes they use Optus network.
