  • any good comparison for SC2 and FTW3?

    • Ftw 3 is larger and has more fans
Ftw 3 has 2 bios- default is 120% max power limit 2nd is 130% max power limit
the FTW series runs much quieter and cooler than the standard size cards due to the larger fans and heatsink. The extra phases in the ftw help spread the heat load as well.

      • what does FTW mean?
doesnt help when google searches come up with For the win!

        • Gamer lingo, FTW means "For The Win". In this case its the top tier EVGA card.

        • it means "For the Win", yes seriously.

        • @JustASmoothSkin:
          i got a ninja edit in… haha!

i thought it was a technical term for the fans!

        • @JustASmoothSkin: second highest tier.

          Highest tier is kingpin

      • from all accounts there's really not much difference between any of the aftermarket TI's in terms of performance as they all pretty much boost the same.

Went through this same decision process recently and from all my research there's not enough difference between the SC2 and FTW3 to warrant one over the other as performance is pretty much identical. From some reviews I read the FTW3 is actually loader than the SC2, so comes down to personal preference or aesthetics.

What did I end up with, MSI Gaming X.

  • Still planning on waiting for the Vega release

But when does Amazon imports going to be taxed?

  • +2

Don't forget 6% cashback with cashrewards.

I don't think graphics cards are eligible for cashback.

    • +1

Cashrewards kept popping up, Checked and it isn't so I will remove that.

  • Anyone know the delivery times etc? how long will it take to get here?

As im going overseas soon just want to check. thanks in advance.

    • +1

It says between 9-12 days, So expect between that and max of maybe 3 weeks.

      • hmm no go, might just wait till after im back. Thanks mate

    • For the last one I ordered it took them 2 business days to pack it. ( ordered it Saturday night Aus time) it was shipped Wednesday morning early in Aus time. And ups delivered it that Friday. Then some prick stole it off my door step because I was out of town until Saturday and thinking I had another week before it arrived.

So in short shipping time when they say 9-12 it's more like up to 12 but it can be much shorter. If you don't want them to leave the package ( this comes from amazon support) write on the first line of your last line in your address "DO NOT LEAVE" and who ever will hold onto it for you at the carriers centre.
