  • Are these any good?

  • What is it??

    • I'm wondering the same thing. Does this thing fit onto my air compressor out in the shed?

  • +1

Like a waterfloss but this is with air.

    • +2

With its name, you'd think so, but it uses water (or mouthwash)

  • -5

People are getting lazier and lazier.

  • +3

I have sensitive teeth, and this seems like it would be hell!

  • +2

It's a gimmick that sort of works. Better than not flossing at all which is probably the target market. I replaced mine twice under warranty. Sort of bored with it now.

  • +2

I've had a waterpik and now this. The waterpik was better but the hose broke (a common fault). This is not very strong. It's not just it's water or mouthwash pushed by air, so a mix of both. It seems ok, but it doesn't have great reliability reviews.

    • +4

I got a water pick style attachment for the bathroom sink tap. It works incredibly well and has the added bonus that if you turn the tap up higher you can use it to jet wash the tiles and around the taps!

      • +1

Lol is that the aldi drain jet?

  • +3

These aren't great, they're supposed to be an alternative to a waterpik or waterjet style device but are worse.

Definitely not worth ~$200 when you can get a much better tap attachment oral irrigator online for under $40aud (quickbreeze iirc).

These and the waterpiks make for expensive vanity clutter.

    • My waterpik was great during my 2 years of having braces, but now that they're off it's exactly that - expensive and very cluttery. Still does a damn good job, but I can floss easy enough now.

    • Do you mean this one?

Did you find a local supplier? And does it come with any nozzles, or do you have to buy them too?

      • +1

That's the one, didnt find a local supplier, checked out a few cheap knockoffs but all reviewed poorly, it includes two nozzle/ends and fits a standard airated bathroom tap.

Twist the end of your bathroom tap/spout and if a little ggril/rate unscrews with a male thread on the end you should be sweet.
Kit doesn't include thread tape which helps.

Once you've put the screw in attachment on you can connect/disconnect the fitting easily.

Like Pinchie I had the waterpik and ended up binning it, this is better and i use it frequently.

        • I quite like the shower head version (showerbreeze). Less messy.

        • @gimme:
Hindsight i would totally buy the shower one, are tgey easy to fit?

Nothing as good as washing that gross tastingfunk outta your back teeth.

        • +1

          @meatsnorkel:

No idea mate but buying one now on impulse. I suspect it should be pretty straight forward but it depends on your outlet. Should be pretty intuitive to work out if it'll work or not. I'm also hoping US and AUD outlet sizes are the same.

          Here's some additional info

  • Op your link go to the normal Airfloss, not the Ultra model.

  • I've been using these for years. They are quite susceptible to breaking so that's why I just get them from ebay for about $40. I love them.

    • Agreed I have the normal basic one and I find it works good. I wouldn't be bothered flossing so I figure it's better than nothing.

  • Amazon UK has it for under $80(AUD 79.46) Philips Sonicare AirFloss Power Flosser with Bonus Nozzle (HX8212/02) which is what's in the picture from OP.
