Install 64 Bit Ubuntu on Windows 10 VirtualBox

I'd like some info on installing 64 bit Linux version on as a VM. VirtualBoxs show only the options for 32bit ones.

I saw that I have to Disable Hyper-V for this, and there are several ways to do it. For example, here, https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/gmarchetti/2008/12/07/tu…
and here
http://druss.co/2015/06/fix-vt-x-is-not-available-verr_vmx_n…

I don't know a lot about hardware, so I greatly appreciate input from those who has idea about this as to what is the best thing to do… as install 32bit os, a way to do install 64 bit without compromising the performance of my computer etc.

I' using a Lenovo thinkpad x1 carbon with i7 processor and 8gm ram.

    1. Firstly, Boot into the BIOS/UEFI (normally like press 'delete' 'F2' 'F6' or something, look it up for Lenovo) and make sure you have both Intel Virtualization Technology and VT-D enabled. Save and boot.
    2. Once into Windows, do a Cortana search for "Windows Features" (Turn Windows Features On or Off). > Unselect Hyper V so its empty. It may ask for a reboot. Do it.
    3. Once youre back into Windows should be able to install 64 bit guess in VB.
    • thanks, I'll give it a try today.
