Citibank Plus Transaction - Overseas Purchase Question

Hi,

Am looking to purchase something from east bay and am trying to work out the costs to determine whether it is worth it.

Just wondering if I was to use my Citibank Plus transaction account to purchase something in USD would there be any additional transaction fee? Also are you able to tell me where I may be able to check the exchange rate that will be applied?

TIA

    No transaction fee

Rate will be whatever the Mastercard rate is at time of purchase: https://www.citibank.com.au/aus/investments/forex-rates/AUD.…

No fees with Citibank Plus Transaction account; international or otherwise. I used mine on Amazon for a purchase in USD last month; rate paid was much better than the AUD offered by Amazon.

I used the Citibank plus card earlier this year in Europe at ATMs for withdrawing cash (Euro and other currencies) and shopping as if a normal CC. No additional fees, just the conversion rate which is waaaaaay better than if you try to swap cash at any currency exchanges anywhere there.

  • Just make sure you pay in the foreign currency so you don't get hit by dynamic currency conversion. xe.com is a good app for exchange rates that match what you will get from Citibank.

    • Indeed. Always use the local currency of the store/country your visiting.

  • Thanks for all the replies so far.

Rather than creating a new post, just wondering does anyone know if there will be additional costs(taxes etc) to order from Eastbay?
