NFL Game Pass So Expensive Any Alternative?

Hello, I've been an NFL game pass customer for the last 6 years and since 2009 the price has increased a bit each year but the service has always provided cheaper a option - just access to regular season or a certain team for instance. This year they only have one option and it's almost $300 for a pass to watch what will basically be 16 games. I'm not very internet savvy but I'm wondering if there is anyone out there than can help with ways to watch games through streaming or on different platforms reliably? It's indecent and unjustifiable to pay this much however I'm really worried I'll be missing my teams games this season. Any help will be appreciated and happy to pay a more reasonable amount if there's other options people can help with. Thanks very much.

well, the game pass is the cheapest legit way

Other ways would be non-legit, such as nfl2go or reddit streams

Ive used nfl2go before (which is great), but didnt use it enough last year to justify the $ (ended up watching only a handful of games)

    • Hi SBOB what's NFL2GO? Is it a reliable legal way? Have you ever had trouble with reddit? Thanks

      • Is it a reliable legal way?

no. its not 'legal' or whatever you want to call it

Anything thats not an official NFL source (eg NFL online pass, foxtel etc) is going to be a form of piracy
but its very reliable, though its not that easy to get access to for 'new' sign ups. You should be able to google it

As for reddit streams, never had an issue for NBA games. Cant remember using one for NFL, but its likely they are even more reliable/popular

        • Thanks SBOB that sounds good! I think the reddit stream sounds like a good way to go! Appreciate your reply!

      non-legit

      NEPHEW

      • Hi airal3rr, so NFL2go isn't a legitimate method to pay and watch? What's the difference between paying for NFL2go and just using reddit for games? Thanks for responding.

  • Aren't some games on free to air? 7mate?

    • Hi John yes they are and I've also got access to ESPN channels which give another game or two each weekend. Sports like baseball and basketball I enjoy watching and follow the sport rather than teams. But football I must watch my team play each week and I would enjoy watching some other AFC teams as well but basically would be happy with just the Baltimore games. So the problem is the Ravens only have some prime time games and will probably only have a maximum of 4 televised games this year (2 of which we will be at live). So really I will miss the other 12 if I just rely on television broadcasts. Thanks for your reply!

  • They had a few official live stream games on Twitter last year (Thursdays? in particular). I remember watching the Pats stomp the Texans with Brissett… What a great season.

[Edit] sorry, didn't read you were a Ravens fan. Perhaps on their (unofficial) fan forums there is something for people o/s? I think the legal method let's you choose Ravens commentary which would be a plus.

    • Thanks so much for your reply, I gave reddit ago at work to watch the Orioles rangers MLB game, it was so clear and was just like tv! ill look into those forums as well as to have options in case one platform isn't working on the day. Thanks mate.

  • You can watch pretty much every game live - nfl_stream

    • Hi Ryanek thanks very much for that. I watched reddit today for the first time streaming the Orioles and Rangers baseball game. It was so good and clear! I've subscribed to the one you suggested and look forward to giving it a try in the pre season next month. I will be over in the States for a few games in November, do these links work in America too? I know it's a stupid question but the NFL game pass only worked when we were in Australia… Thanks

      • Yep they work everywhere :) You may also be interestred in…

        NBA Streams
        MBL Streams

        • Thanks so much for that mate, I appreciate these responses so much and very glad I will be able to watch some football this year without paying almost $300!!

  • Late post but I share your pain, the cost has exploded in recent years and I find it impossible to justify. Considering the season is so short and the majority of content is in a 7 hour window each week.

Fortunately NFL release 9+ minute highlight packages for each game on youtube which fills some of void for me. Free nfl radio can be sourced if you search, and we do get a lot of free and foxtel games now.

Still a curious approach to seemingly reduce subscribers with ridiculous pricing

  • Hi Daniel I've managed this year and haven't missed a game by using: the one week free trial on different credit cards, Foxtel/free tv, reddit and I've been to a live game.. It's been challenging though.. I'm hoping next year so many people didn't re subscribe and they'll lower the price again.
