PAYG SIM Plan for Kids GPS Tracker Watch Advice Needed

I bought two gps tracker watches for my kids and I need some advice as to which sim plan to use.
This watch phone is 3G and can receive/send voice messages as well as make and receive calls.

Currently I have just checked to make sure they work with my partners sim and all works well. Now I wish to buy them sim cards.
I am assuming it would use less than 10mb per day depending on how many voice chat messages are being sent/received and maybe 1-2 calls a day at most.

Anyone have any suggestions?

    amaysim PAYG
    aldimobile PAYG

    • thanks,
had a look at the plans and it seems like data would consume most of the credit at 0.05/mb and 0.072/mb. Since they charge per /mb and not per /kb it could potentially eat up the credit quite quickly. Do you know if there are any that is per/kb?
thank you for your suggestion btw

Where are you getting your info from?

Aldi Mobile PAYG CIS: Your data usage is measured per kilobyte and rounded up to the nearest kilobyte.

I am using the Aldi PAYG for my car GPS tracker and in the last 30 days it's logged a total of 2MB on my account after driving every day.

        • thanks for that, didn't check the CIS and just checked the general page. Looks like aldi is the way to go thanks!

        • what car GPS tracker do you use if you don't mind me asking?

        • @ArabMoneeey: Similar to this https://goo.gl/6ocGeZ got it during the 15% off ebay sitewide sales.

TPG $1/m sim card? Comes with 50mb of data.

    • Good old $1 sim.

  • OP: Mind sharing with us which GPS tracker watch you got? And how much did you purchase them for & where at? Thanks!

The ones i bought looks like these. Not from this seller though as i bought them while travelling over there.

Basically android software on the watch, able to switch languages and all the features works. The app you download on the phone is called "setracker". Not the best reviews but it works for me and i have no issues with the software.

  • I have a GPS tracker in my car as well - Use the Amaysim SIM with no problems.

As you can imagine, the tracker is live all of the time.

    Cost me between .50c and $1 p/m

  • DOn't know if you can still get th Optus "share sims". We have 3 or 4 and effectively they are free plans that bolt onto your existing plan to provide data. so we have on 12gb $40 plan and 5 devices (ipads, modems, GPS tracker, etc) all share the data, was an awesome replacement for ADSL for my parents who don't consume high data!!

  • $5 data share sim with Telstra (share with a post paid plan). You would have to take a $5 gamble to see if it will allow voice calls though.

I share my data with my 80yr old parents ipad the same way.
