    I purchased one of these a while back and I started to notice that the screen flickers now.

    Is anyone else having this issue?

      Yes mine does too. It seems it wasnt getting enough power to the unit and eventually moved to restarting regularly.
      We plugged the power directly into the camera (not using the GPS unit) and it seems fine now.

      Also make sure you have applied the latest firmware update (v2.06) as ones we recently received were v2.02 and had sound problems.

      Fixed with update. Firmware download links and instructions below (those on v1.x need to flash 2 files, on 2.x need only 1 file). I updated all 3 of our cams.

          I bought the 119s from a ebay seller which is $139 inc express post (delivered in 2 days), also included the polarise lens. So depends if you want to wait.

          Highly recommend VIOFO A118C not generic Chinese A118C version. I have 2 VIOFO A118C on each car, the quality is excellent but recently brought a cheaper A118C generic version and the quality was like comparing VHS and DVD with this and the VIOFO version. Apparently the cheap version uses low quality components it was no way as sharp picture and could not see detail in the video. For the small extra cost, recommend to get VIOFO version.

    FYI… These cameras come with a small felt pad that is intended to be stuck between the mount and the camera.
    Makes for a firmer fit and less shake.
