Xiaomi Air 13 Vs Asus Zenbook UX330

Been looking at these two laptops and cannot decide, both are around a similar price.

Help convince me one way or the other please.

Shared attributes:

  • Both with USB-C ports
  • Both 13 inch
  • Both 256GB SSD
  • Both 8GB RAM
  • Both have HDMI ports
  • Both have dimensions are 1.5 x 31 x 21

Zenbook pros:
* Long battery life (12 hours vs 8 hours)
* Better CPU (i5-7200U vs i5-6200U)
* SD card slot
* Possibly no sneaky spyware business
* In english, support probably better than xiaomi

Xiaomi pros:
* Dedicated GPU
* Slightly greater screen hinge range
* Slightly cheaper

    I would add warranty for the ASUS as being the deciding factor, IMO.
    I'm a fan of Xiaomi and buy plenty of stuff from China, but if you need warranty service it will be possible with a local ASUS, but you might as well give up with postage costs and delays with the Xiaomi. When you are spending $1000 you don't want to end up with a paper weight.

    What will you be using it for? Zenbook looks like the clear winner unless you need the GPU for some reason (in which case ultrabooks are probably not what you need).

    There's a 2017 model of the Xiaomi 13 out now with the better CPU (7200U), a fingerprint reader, and a much better graphics card.

      UX330UA-FC083R is AU market
      UX330UA-FC083T is one of the asian markets.

      same specs. Power plug will be different
