4k Monitor - DP Vs HDMI - and Where to Buy?

Hi all, just ordered my first 4k pc Monitor.

Monitor has HDMI 2.0 and DP. My question is, is there a difference between using the two? They both seem to be able to hit 4k @ 60hz which is what I need. Pretty sure the cable the screen comes with is not going to hit 4k @ 60hz, but will try anyhow.

I basically just need the cheapest option that would work. If anyone can point me to a link of any of the cables they are currently using, or have used.

    Both do the same job. The only difference is the price you pay, and most likely if you want one on the cheap / fast just go to MSY and pick up a non-branded one.

      Thanks, yeah came to the same conclusion. Will test out the cable that comes with it, otherwise, will pop into Harvey Norman for those premium cables :)

        Get the Monster HDMI cables, otherwise you won't be getting the true 4k experience! :P

          Wasn't it the other way around? AFAIK certain version of HDMI only supports 4K on less than 30 fps. Good enough for movie though.
