Destiny 2 PC - Pre Order - $62.50 Shipped @ JB Hi-Fi

70

Cheapest Preorder copy you can get. Includes Beta and Coldheart weapon DLC.

The Price drop from $69 is more likely due to Increase in AUD value.

Apparently The game only has minor improvements over Destiny.

I haven't Played Destiny 1 so its not a deal breaker for me.

  • "68 GB hard drive storage space required as of September 2017" Wanna make it any bigger

Forza 7 is a 105GB download… Is that big enough for you?

      • BIG enough

        • the 68GB is like the raw pack, once installed it'll be like 30-40gb

    • ARK is 105GB. seems to update gigs each week, i dont even play it..

  • Does that mean the pop vinyl isn't included as a preorder anymore?

    • I think it is, you will have to ask jb

…and what do we know about pre-orders?

    • +2

Yup, no need to pre-order. I'd be surprised if you can't get this price on day of release. As for the extra DLC, if Destiny 1 is anything to go by, it'll be useless almost instantly. Personally, I suggest not buying games day one and waiting to see what reviews and user feedback is like.

  • Is there much benefit to buying preorders from physical stores (other than it being cheaper than Blizzard online)?

I'm starting to get used to just buying games from Steam, never worrying about keys or losing CDs, and also not needing to find a USB DVD drive for my PC. Not too worried about downloads as have 1TB/mth which doesn't ever get fully used.

    • For those of us still with crappy internet, this might take awhile to dl :/

      • Fair point, but download speeds aside, are there any other benefits? I haven't bought a physical game in a while and wondering if I need to always have the disc in for it to load/etc.

        (ps unsure why/who negg'd me… valid question I thought)

        • I don't believe any games have required disc in drive / cdcheck for a number of years? Most PC builds don't have optical drives these days.

        • I can't really see any benefits of physical copies tbh but I guess some people still prefer to have a tangible product and something to have in their collection at home.

        • @drogba:

Can resell a DVD/physical copy of game. Cannot sell a digital Steam one.

        • @Crownie:

Why would anyone buy a DVD of a used PC game? Since the key will have already been used, the disc will be useless, only good for installing the game files but nothing more.

        • @bertiness: Figured that too but then if you had an optical drive to install it, it didn't seem unreasonable you'd have one for a anti copy check :S

If the preorder just gets me a key which I can use online anyway, then I'm up for it. I just don't want to end up with a physical disc which I need to connect using a USB DVDRW to my laptop.

    • Easier until steam disappears…

"Apparently The game only has minor improvements over Destiny.

    I haven't Played Destiny 1…"

Clueless commentary added for free, nice work.

  • the price sure is intriguing, but i will just wait for reviews

Anyone know if you preorder this from JB do you still get early access and can we activate it on Battle Net?

  • I went to preorder this instore at least a week ago but was told it's not actually a physical copy with a disk. You get a case with a code in it. So much for avoiding a massive download…

    • Which store was that?

      • Elizabeth, SA

        • Just go to one with a clue, because that's not them. Sadly, they're incorrect.

        • @Mic Cullen: NO DISC, VOUCHER INCLUDED FOR FULL GAME DOWNLOAD. INTERNET CONNECTION REQUIRED.

        • @czd: I wish that was actually the case

        • @Mic Cullen: ???? It says it on the item page. (unless you're trying to make a cheeky pun)

  • Are they offering with year 1 DLC in store? Online I cannot find it and Greenman gaming had base game + DLC for around $100 AUD a week ago. But stupidly did not order :-( Judging from feedback about Destiny 1, DLC is kinda mandatory (from feedback I have seen online). Never played destiny 1, but played PC beta for Destiny 2 and it played great.
