search for queen mattress on ebay they come in a box and let the air into the matress - wait for a 10%-15% off sale and it will fit your budget

Regal Sleep has a budget Queen for $399 and they feel much better than IKEA's competing HÖVÅG mattress which costs the same.
The one I'm using is called "Gently Firm Back Support", which I'm not sure if its still available or has been renamed.

I paid a bit more than $300 for mine - purchased a fortnight ago - but they threw in a pillow and free delivery.

Also - have been hearing that one of the big ones (Captain Snooze or 40 Winks, not sure) have been having a "buy any mattress for the price of a single" sale. Not sure if it is still running.
And my husband bought his mattress from Beds online - great pricing, free delivery within the week. Excellent service and it feels like a cloud to sleep in!
Recently bought this in the Double. It's a really solid mattress, only negative is that the edge of the bed has no support but that makes it easier to roll out of bed :) Can't go wrong for the price, they are usually on sale on Ebay, keep an eye out for a coupon.

Yep except mine was a little thicker at 31cm vs 27cm, doubt it would make too much diff though.
