I know there are some people that do like this store here, not looking to argue with that's point, just want some advice from my personal experience with them.
I signed up with them the other week, while their site had a dodgy feel to it a lot of people were buying from their xiaofang sale so I jumped on board.
I had problems with their payment gateway as did a few others and my order was not processed.
I contacted their support numerous times and was met with some odd requests such as sending a photograph of my bank card.
It all looked to dodgy for me so I attempted to delete my account and details. Which there was no option
I contacted support numerous times and their response was
We have no way of deleting your account.
Any ideas what to do next? Just suck it up and let them keep my card details? Or try an alternative method ?
Is there any benefit in them deleting your account? They've already got all your details.
Can you just update all your details to something else (that's not yours) and pretend it doesn't exist?
I've never tried, but I don't recall seeing an option to "delete an account" on any of the online stores I've been to.
As a store owner, they need to do what they can to protect themselves from fraudulent transactions. When there's a chargeback to the card, it's the store that loses out. I don't necessarily agree with some of the "verification" methods that are used, but like everything else, there's a balance to be had and you always have the option to decide whether you trust and buy from them.
