    Nice, thanks.

  • Both these watches come with 2 year Amazon warranty, which is much better than the Casio 1 year warranty. I bought a Tough Solar, however the solar charger never worked. It died this week, and no warranty is (readily) available as it's a Casio warranty in the US.

Sorry to hear, did you email Amazon and let them know? They are usually pretty good in resolving any problems.

I guess if you are sure the solar isn't working, you could try and replace the battery with a normal button cell.

TBH I haven't emailed Amazon. It certainly won't hurt to ask.
And yes I will get a new battery.
The learning - if you get a Casio solar watch, give it some sun time straight away and see if it charges. If it doesn't, send it back within the 30? days.

Good advice, and yes definitely get in touch with them before trying to replace the battery.

  • Re the CASIO G-SHOCK GULFMASTER GWN-1000-2AJF: it looks as though it won't receive any time calibration signal in Australia (see http://www.casio-intl.com/in/en/wat/watch_detail/GWN-1000F-2… ). That feature really seems like a bit of a wank anyway :)

  • Good price. Although not sure if I need another G Shock

  • Wish I had a wrist that suited the Gulfmaster. Need to be the Rock to pull it off.

    • What size is your wrist? G-Shocks tend to get away with being oversized.

      • 17cm or 6 3/4 inches.

Yeah you're right, it would look too big on you.
