SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.0 Flash Drives 16/32/64/128GB - $12/ $18/ $28/ $58 @ Harvey Norman

181

Seems like pretty good pricing for 3.0 and physically small. I have one in my car stereo, you don't notice it at all.

They're marked as Clearance, I assume it's a weekend deal.

Be careful. Unless they've revised this model, it gets really hot. Too hot to touch after transferring a lot of data.

Why the negs for this? Is he factually incorrect, or is he just harshing everybody's mellow?

From what I've heard he's right. I've been keeping an eye on these small drives and I'd lean towards a Samsung over SanDisk.

My 64gb one actually fell apart. The plastic usb element stayed in the drive while the shell came out. Quite annoying. Surprisingly still works though.

      • I agree noone should be negging on this. I have a 128gb one and it runs hot, few months ago it failed completely and now i can't read it to recover the data off it.

Last few Sandisk drives I've had have crapped it so not too fond of them these days.

It's not small, it's ultra fit.

    Gotta remember this one…

"I'm not small. Maybe you're just too big!"

  • +1

The ultimate for the spies who are also Ozbargain diehards.
Much easier to swallow compared to the standard sized ones.
    Also easier to self-recover. :)

Even HN clearance is costly than regular ebay prices……..

    • Just checked their Micro SD prices…3 times their best sale prices but listed as clearance and Limit 5 per customer.

      • +1

I reckon they prey on the poor customer who is browsing the website amd thinks its a "deal/bargain" without checking around.

      No $14.95 postage on eBay,saving $14.

  • Seems cheaper on Ebay
    32GB $13.29 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/262396227882 … however it's a few weeks wait for postage.

Is this another one where the lanyard hole is on the stupid cap?? FFS— why do they do this?

    • +1

Perhaps so you don't have to remove the lanyard from your neck to plug in. Just a guess…?

      • +1

It seems this one is not on the cap— a plus there.

Having the lanyard attached to the cap = you lose the drive when it eventually becomes used enough that it slides out on it's own. That, has been my experience & why I now ask.

    • There are hi-res images if you follow the link. I won't ruin the surprise for you.

    • no, better than that there is no lanyard hole anywhere. Both parts are nice and small so easy to lose.

      • Check again. I have one and there is a hole. If you follow the OP's link you can see it too.

        • ahh, the slot on the black part. Thanks.
I also own at least one of these but never noticed.

  • Not sure about the weekend deal thing, it's been this price for at least 3 weeks now. I know because I bought one 3 weeks ago since price was similar to eBay prices and local pickup.

Could you use this for TV recording shows?

  • So, buy 2 of the 64gb instead of the 128gb?

  • Sorry for the lack of detail but they have a Lexar equivalent for around the same money. Just 16 or 32gb models though.

  • I keep mine in my wallet. Very handy to have

  • Midland and Mandurah (WA)
still had the 64GBs and 32GBs

    Thanks OP

  • I posted a 64GB Duo for $23, free ship, w/$50 spend (from a specific clearance here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/322604 )

    If it suits you better?

    :)
