Anyone playing the new Path of Exile expansion?

I briefly messed around with PoE back in beta, but after getting addicted to Torchlight 2 recently I decided to pick up PoE to scratch that ARPG itch.

I really have no idea what I'm doing so I'm looking up some newbie resources and the like, but it'd be cool to have some other people to play with or bounce build ideas off.

Is anyone else playing PoE fresh because of the new expansion, or any long-term players here? What's your impression of the expansion so far, and PoE in general compared to Diablo or Torchlight? Let me know if you're keen to show me the ropes!

    If by playing you mean watching twitch streamers for like five minutes before giving up and switching to another streamer.. yes and no.

      Yeah I will say the streamers I've come across for PoE do not seem engaging… guess I should focus on playing!

        The game is definitely alright just makes for a bit boring viewing.. kind of like runescape.. if you don't know what's going on it doesn't translate to good general twitch viewing unlike some other newer games I have found.

        In saying that did you try sword coast legends.. It's not free afaik but it was the closest thing besides divinity I found with good gameplay mechanics.

          I hadn't heard of Sword Coast Legends, turn based combat can definitely be interesting.. I still have Divinity Original Sin sitting there to be played also!

          @airal3rt: sword coast legends was the last thing I heard about in the dungeons and dragons genre.. haven't found anything remotely similar or better since.. Poe was ok but no baldurs gate dark alliance imho.
