I am new to AmEx and using points for flying. I've got 105,000 MR points and $400 travel credit that I was looking to use to plan some flights for the end of the year.
Could I please get some assistance from some of you more knowledgable folk regarding the best value redemptions I could get?

I'm assuming this is an Explorer card with 105,000 MR Gateway points?
If so, then these transfer to a FF program of your choice (except Qantas FF) at a 4:3 (1:0.75) rate, that is, 78,750 points.
I've never done a flight redemption using points before, but from what I've read thus far, this is how you'd do it.
So go to an airline's website and search for "award seats" to a destination and time of your choice and take it from there :)
