  • Good deal, just curious, will the game check your graphic card to decide whether or not to activate?

    • No? You need to buy it through GeForce experience in the first place.

      • +2

you will redeem it through Nvidia Geforce Experience, it wont work if it doesnt detect either GTX 1080 or 1080TI

    • You link a BNet account to your GeForce account, then GeForce does the check which activates the game on your BNet account.
Once it's there, you can de-link them and never need to prove it again.

  • Use the coupon LOWCYGIER for another few dollars off.

    • +1

      Subtotal AU$43.03
      Payment Charge AU$1.73
      Discount -AU$2.15
      Grand Total AU$42.61

If you use paypal ther is a surcharge, that coupon just kind of gives enough discount to cancel out the surcharge.

      • added thx, saves about $2

  • Is it a one-off per graphics card? Could I swap the card into another computer to get two copies? Any runtime checks for the card?

    • ahh i have no idea, but I would say it could work. i dont see much security checks as going to deep in checking the gpu's serial number.

since theyre selling generic vouchers anyway.

    • I don't see why that wouldn't work, but wouldn't it be easier to just log in to a different geforce experience account instead of fiddling with parts?

    • Its one per card, it must check your serial number

      • According to this article https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/02/nvidia-game-codes-gfe… the check isn't that specific, I image if you keep logging into different accounts you can keep activating codes. You just can't activate the same game twice on one GeForce account.
Granted this isn't a recent article

        • I try to do it and nope

        • I can confirm it wont work, once you claim it, it links to the gpu.

        • @live_1991: That's unfortunate

        • @GassyKraken: As in the same code? I meant using the same GTX1080 but logging into several GeForce accounts so you can get cheap copies for your friends.

        • @enceladus94:

          Does not work

  • +1

    Thanks grabbed it :D

    • -1

I grabbed mine the other day. Don't worry, it won't appear in your Blizzard App until later. As long as you can see it in your account on the Blizzard website you're good to go, Guardian!

    • Have you activated it yet?

      • +1

        Yup worked fine.

    • How do you actually redeem it? I can't see any options on geforce experience for this..

  • Awesome my 1080 is due to arrive today.

  • Kinguin says it will only work on the PC with a 1080/1080ti? Surely once I activate it/pay on my pic with 1080 it will work on my other machine without 1080? I can't see anything in the kinguin fine print, can anyone remember seeing anything when the process went to GeForce experience?

    • It will be on your Blizzard account for all eternity, Guardian.

      • Yep thanks. Worked fine here, global pre order through battle.net confirmed.

      • Yep thanks. Worked fine here, global pre order through battle.net confirmed.

  • Anyone know how I could go about getting my free copy of Destiny 2 from a earlier promotion? I bought my 1080 ti during the promotional period but I forgot to get it at the time. Thanks - https://www.asus.com/event/vga/Destiny2/

    • Maybe contact ASUS, Guardian.

    • The promotion was only from specific sellers, mostly USA

    • +2

I received my 1080 little after the promotion ended but bought it during it was running. I emailed ASUS (Assuming that's your manufacturer aswell since you linked their promotion page) through [email protected] and used this format:

      Serial ID:
      PPID:
      Link to Invoice:
      Country:
      Game:

It took a week for them to email me back the key. Hope it works out for you!

  • guys is the buyer protection neccesary ? was gonna paypal it usually use cdkeys.com so dont need to deal with this

    • i didnt use it and activation worked, all done in less than 5 mins

    • PayPal does not offer protection for electronically transmitted goods.

    • Ended up doing it and worked out well

  • Back in my days, Betas are given out for free

    • There still is an open beta. Pre orders just get 1 day extra.

    • This annoyed a lot of players. It especially sucks for us Aussies since if the additional content isn't cosmetic, we'll be disadvantaged as we can't buy them easily.

  • I want this code but isn't the code already expired? Care to explain this? http://imgur.com/a/X8tYx
Would it be okay to buy this code if you don't have a 1080 right now and want to wait till after VEGA releases?

    • Has anyone else had this issue?

  • New coupon
    ITZSYNTRAX

  • How do you actually claim the code? There's no way to redeem a code on my geforce experience app, and it's definitely up to date.

    • click your name in the Geforce Experience

  • This seems confusing, so the correct procedure is to use the code ITZSYNTRAX or LOWCYGIER in Kinguin and the total is $47.69, then they will email or show a code which I will redeem in Geforce correct?

    • +1

Sorry, it was $42 before now the price increased by $5, total all inluding all fee is $49.62, still $5-6 cheaper than any, but only for GTX 1080 and 1080Ti users

  • Can confirm this still works using ITZSYNTRAX code.
    Downloading it now.
