MSI GTX 1080 SeaHawk EK X - £435 (AUD $744) Delivered from Amazon UK

Unfortunately, this is not a card for average users like me :) It has built-in waterblock plate and can only be used if you run custom loop water cooling.

  • Never used water cooling before. Is custom loop meant to be quieter or louder than air cooling? You need fans on the outside of your case right, so the fans in theory could be more audible than if they were inside the case.

    • Tends to be quieter but depends how you set it up and what fans you use etc. No need for fans/radiator to be outside the case these days, most cases have plenty of space and appropriate mounting for a couple of radiators of different sizes.

      • Well when I say 'outside' the case, I mean attached to your case's expandable radiator ports. Many cases have removable fan mounts where you can put your water cooling radiator and fans, or just fans if you want more fans.

I don't mean that these fans are 'outside' of the case, but they are connected to the outer wall/ceiling of the case and you hear the fans more directly than if they were blowing from the inside.

If this produces less noise, I can only assume it's down to your selection of fans. If you used the same fans internally, it should produce less noise right?

It's much quieter, just need tuning of the fans (and good quality fans at that)

Custom loops aren't for most users though, mine cost around $900 and you need to spend quite a bit of time and effort into it. Extremely quiet and cooling performance is incredible. Custom water cooling isn't something you casually jump into.

Yep. A bit tangential, but I really wish aftermarket GPU AIOs were as popular as CPU ones. I was looking at getting into watercooling for an ITX build I'm planning, but I'm not satisfied with any of the options and can't be bothered with open loop.

        • Don't nzxt make a customer bracket that fits most gpu and is universal with other brands of AIO coolers?
Been looking into it for a while but haven't gone through with it.

        • @Hirolol: Yeah I've looked into it, the Kraken G12 mounting kit. Seems a bit bulky though, and might not fit into a ITX setup. And I know it's a bit petty, but it's kinda ugly to my eyes. Seems like a bit of a ghetto solution.

If this were a TI I'd be all over it.

    Great price though.
    Good find!

Yeah, you and a million others!

      • More-so 1080Ti with integrated waterblock that's not stupidly overpriced.

    • Might take a few more months before we see it at that price

Keep posting these 1080 deals, my trigger finger is itchy.

Wow¡ This card is turbo ones. Have same same like car intercooler and water spray. But not very good though water conduction electrical maybe damages resister capasitor CPU computer rams too
