Can this or the Yeti be used as the sole microphone for podcasting between to people?
The Yeti would be better, as it has a mode for multi directional sound, I believe this is just designed for single direction of sound.
Unless you're sitting side by side, no. This microphone is cardioid and works best picking up audio directly in front of it. It does a good job of that, and is very easy to use, but you'll want a figure-of-eight (bidirectional) or omnidirectional microphone.
I own a Snowball iCE, and I'd like to also point out that this version of the microphone differs from the Blue Snowball. It is a simplified version of the Snowball; the stand is (in my opinion) slightly worse, and bumping the cable that leads from the back is likely to cause the top heavy microphone to fall over entirely. THe base Snowball model has an adjustable metal stand. The Snowball base also has "Cardioid, omni, and cardioid with pad pickup options" with a switch on the back to alternate, while the Snowball iCE only has cardioid setting.

I have had this mic for a few years. It produces quality recordings, but you have to be pretty close to the mic.
