TV's for Sport and Movies

Hi there I'm looking to buy 2 TV's one 50-55" (looking to spend about $1000) and another 65" looking to spend about ($1500)

The main use will be watching sport and movies. From what I've looked at the smaller screen there should be quite a few options, but I'm not sure of the most important things to look for are? I've had bad experiences with Kogan and Aldi TV's, so I'm more looking at name brands such as Samsung, LG, Hisense, Panasonic.

If you cant help out with a deal any help with the important specs would be appreciated for comparison.

cheers

  • motion compensation for smooth viewing

    • hi, when you say motion compensation do you mean higher hz? Or true motion and the like?

  • Curious to know your bad experiences with aldi and Kogan. Thanks 😀 I'm in the market too

  • +1

gday mate, with aldi it wasnt really that bad an experience because of their 60 day money back… but the tv had horrible picture quality (it was a 32" and a few years ago now) I replaced it with a samsung which didnt cost much more and its great. With respect to Kogan, friends of mine bought one of their current ones (its 60 or 65" but not smart) and im just not impressed with what i saw… It may be it needed a tweak or just im used to watching my 9 series samsung but either way ive just decided to steer clear…

    • awesome! Thanks heaps for the feedback! Will keep it in mind for my purchase :)
