That's because they're fighting a court battle. Thousand Hands also known as Hemisphere Tech, and they apparently went bust last year and owe a lot of money to various firms, one of them being Kaspersky.

"$5m debt remains after shell of Kaspersky distributor Hemisphere Technologies in liquidation"

looks like they also owe the Australian Tax office quite a lot of money too. 1.6mil

How does that link up to SaveonIT?
I've bought a LOT of Kaspersky licenses from them?

SaveonIT is a reseller of software from Thousand Hands.

Probably nothing to worry about… I don't think it will invalidate your license either. Just a nag screen telling you Kaspersky is upset with one of their clients, a little bit of social engineering at work

You could call Kaspersky hotline and talk to their staff. Perhaps they can tell you how to get rid of nag screen (or maybe they won't, they just want to make their redistributor's customers angry)

However, this means that people who want to buy Kaspersky might stumble on forum threads like this one, and then wonder if they should buy from a certain shop. So Kaspersky's intentionally kicking the hornet's nest..

        • OK cheers. I don't have the nag screen and I noted that SaveonIT are still selling Kaspersky keys so I guess there is a new wholesaler in town?

  • thats Kaspersky problem why it keep annoying me.. i seen it once i dont need to see it each time i reboot.

So how do we know keys now from saveonit wont all bring up this popup.

    • Kasperskies don't want you giving money to them, they want you giving monies to Kasperskies!

Hi, thank you for posting this.

All our Kaspersky products are sourced through authorized Australian distributors. Unfortunately as we can see from earlier post that one of the previous distributor are having court battle with Kaspersky hence there is this issue with warning message. It does not affect your subscription and it should only occur to a small % of stock that was issued from 2 years ago. Luckily Hemisphere Tech was not our major supplier.

For all recent & new purchases, this won't an issue. We haven't had Kaspersky from Hemisphere Tech for well over 1 year now so it won't affect any of the current purchases.

If you have need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us by email at [email protected].

    Thank you.

  • I'm getting the same nag popup every time I restart. I don't like companies infiltrating my software that I have already paid for to work plain and simply, so I'm changing my antivirus very soon, probably to TotalAV. Apparently it's been in the news recently that Kaspersky could be lending a hand to the Russian government in its activities by spying on users. I also do not like the way it detects secure browser password activity and places its own popup windows to use saying it is more secure, a feature I have never used but one that is also a big annoyance and I couldn't turn off.
