Apple MacBook Pro 13" (2009-Late 2001) Original Battery - Where to purchase?

Need to replace the battery in my Late 2011 13" MBP unibody
Battery is an A1322

I see so many on eBay for around $50-$60AUD, and i suspect they are repacked apple batteries or just total generic.
Considering the so many reports of poor performance or non recognition with the OSX, i'd like to buy a Genuine Battery or at the very least, a well regarded non genuine replacement.

Trouble is, finding either is so hard.
What have others done?
Is there a reliable A1322 battery out there?

Thanks

Newer are well regarded and these people are the artists formerly known as Macfixit.

    Owc.

I wouldn't buy anywhere else. $100 USD last time I looked.

    • OWC say…

We're sorry, but we were unable to get any suitable shipping methods for your order from our shipping carriers.

As of April 2016 all carriers have implemented new regulations and restrictions for packages containing Lithium Ion/Lithium Metal items. This affects both battery products as well as products which ship with an included lithium battery.

Yes, i found the same response last week :(

  • Appreciate the heads up
Anyone know what a Genuine Apple A1322 Battery costs?
I am intrigued by what Newer Technologies quote on their website

"This battery is better quality than the Apple batteries. Guaranteed ! Upgrade or replace your original Apple battery with a NewerTechnology high capacity battery today! Tools included."

Yet the Battery specs exactly the same
Same mA and Watt Hour rating, so how is it better than original?

  • Could take a look at something like this. "18 month warranty" and I've heard good things about Floureon replacements. E.g. this comment.

    • Funny, i had that company pages open earlier
In fact, i have that exact link in my eBay watchlist
Then read endless bad reports about the product

I had not read about the warranty, but had read how they don't honour it.

Funny they say 18month warranty, then scroll down and its says all products 12month warranty?
Thank you for the OZB link, that is promising

I read a report on someone buying that exact battery and it didn't even fit in correctly
Maybe it was user error, ordered the wrong battery for application?
