I am looking for a laptop 13" or 14" that I can use for uni but can also can do light gaming nothing too intense, but I would like to be able to play games on low at 60FPS at 1080p or 720p. Im after a computer that has a relatively good battery life. if anyone has any ideas of some models which are worth looking at I'd highly appreciate it. With the 20% off tech sale on eBay at the moment I'm looking for spend <900 including discount.

How much battery do you want? Should get 4-6 hours if you aren't gaming.

Small thin and light, with decent battery life? Look for laptops with the GeForce 940MX GPU.

The Lenovo ThinkPad E470 is probably your best bet - affordable, tough, small and surprisingly gaming-capable.
The dell inspiron 15 7000 gaming is probably the sweet spot for your requirments.

It only lasts about 1.5hrs while gaming though, but probably shouldnt game on battery because most laptops underclock cpu and gpu while on battery mode.
