  • Geez this might have been handy when the comp first opened

  • Oh, oh, oh bike.

  • Has this worked for anyone yet? I just did it with the nearest bikes but I haven't been credited with anything yet.

    • Mine hasn't been added yet. I think just wait until tomorrow

  • +1

I have seen many of these bikes left 'abandon' along busy pedestrian pavement and at tram stop obstructing walkway.

  • They will be lucky… Melbourne City Council is looking to pass a bylaw banning these bikes, as they are being dumped all around the place and the council is over it.

    • What a silly idea. I like the idea that the obikes are accessible. As long as users follow the rules of storing them, they shouldn't be in the way.

    • Likely not by those actually using them though, as if someone reports the bike as being left in a bad way, the last user could lose points which means their cost of hire goes up. This is generally just the public being stupid. It will die down.

  • Just gonna leave this here https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/australi…

if you look at the detailed terms of use that are sometimes included on their websites, they won’t rule out the possibly of tracking people even when they are not using the bike

…they explicitly reseve the right to sell the data to third parties

    • Who is they?

"Sometimes" I like to read into things myself before believing what the media tells me.

      • Go ahead. Read the terms and conditions of o bike when you sign up. You'll see it says they will sell tourneys data to third parties
