Which Apps Do You Use for Dining out?

Hi Guys,

We eat out quite a bit, and were wondering if you have any money saving apps you'd recommend? Currently loving Dimmi (30%-50% off) and the Liven app ($10 off codes, sent out weekly, though lately its been on a decline).

Does anyone use the entertainment book? Thoughts on that?

Thanks,

  • Name your location. Some areas don't get coverage of more mainstream apps or websites as other more populated areas.

For example where I currently live now in Katoomba Blue Mountains. I have only eatnow and menulog to really choose from and at best its only really loyalty meals.

But back in Sydney I used a bunch of different things mainly the ones you posted including the big first ones that popularised or widely introduced the idea of cheap dining and deals such as scoopon and groupon and its competitors.

Nowadays I just look at the dining and groceries deals pages here on Ozbargain and frugal eats and pick the nice one-off (usually grand opening or some special day celebration) deals.

The last good one was the near free I think it was like $1 or $2 basically gold Dustin Malaysian or Thai restaurant in the cbd a few months ago.

    Great meals.

Entertainment books are usually good especially for the hot chocolate and coffee and movie deals. But I don't watch many movies nowadays to warrant it.

I forgot this great website that was like a frugal eats but for more proper dining and not just fast food. If I remember it I will let you know, it's probably groupon but I remember it had a different website.

    Maccas app

      KFC APP

      • Nope, both of those require paying. Hungry Jack's shake and win app, get free stuff!

First Table is new-ish. I haven't used it yet but it looks like an easy way to save at good restaurants if you are flexible on time.

  • Do you really need a app for dining out?…

    • If you want reviews (good food) and value (coupons/deals) then yes.
Are you not on Ozbargain to save money?

Btw, Groupon/Scoopon are great for up to 50% off coupons so I use them a bit.
