Harbour Bridge toll Northbound

Hey guys, does anyone know if I need to pay for toll if I'm going on the M5 from Rockdale all the way across Harbour Bridge/tunnel to Chatswood direction?

On the website it says no charge for northbound and I'm only planning to use it to go up north that's it. Thanks

Nope, depends how u get to the bridge
Use the eastern distributor which is faster and it'll cost 7 bucks I think
If you go through the city or Newtown fish markets it's free
    North bound is always free
South bound u get charged ( different price for different times)

    • Just for clarification eastern distributor = harbour tunnel. If you go over the bridge, nothing. if you go under, toll.

      • Just for clarification. Eastern distributor = toll !
If you exit at the Cahill expressway and take the Bridge you've already paid a toll at Woolloomooloo.

      • ED /= harbour tunnel
If you go via ED and incur the $7 toll, you have the option to continue through the harbour tunnel or take the harbour bridge
Tolls for either harbour routes are on the southbound only

Best route is probably via Glebe Fish Markets and over the bridge for no tolls

        • I'm not planning to come back through that way. Only going to be passing rhodes through olympic park etc so no southbound.

Just use Google Maps, set the 'avoid toll roads' option and it will factor in traffic to find the fastest free route. You can also compare the time to the toll road option to see if it's worth it
