Watchnerd: How Do You Store All You Watches?

I didnt buy a watch for 10yrs. I bought a Seamaster auto which coincided with the birth of my daughter. Why buy anything else since you bought the watch you always wanted?

Since then I got married, I gave my Seamaster to my wife, who then got a Rolex Sub from my dad and so I bought a bunch of other watches inc. a few Swatch, Invictas and some Naviforces. I got the Seamaster back, my wife kept the Rolex but really doesnt wear much anyway since she took my Mi Band 2.

So here it is, pretty much every watch I've bought over the last 20yrs or so.

A jewellery box I picked up off council cleanup.

There's a few joke watches in there too like a Smiggle talking watch and some Ecodrives and Seiko 5s. Also most of the bands and tools and whatever.

  • you can get the watch display box from ebay - quality is so so but cheap $16 for 8 or 10 grids cant remember.

but, im kind of regret buying more and more watches.

    My storage box

Just joking. That's something someone posted on WatchUseek, my watch collection consists of a Pebble Time Steel, a cheap Casio, Samsung Gear S2 and a SKmei and I just toss it into my clothes drawer where my socks and jocks are.

  • Get something like this

The way you store your watches right is just atrocious. Painful to see seamaster like that.

  • A round tuit. As in I'll get a round tuit, when I get some time.

  • I own only one watch (bought in 1995) which I have never taken off for any significant length of time.

    Storage: Left wrist

Wooden with a glass top, I got this for my wife and it is equal to $199 cases we saw in Prouds and other jewellers' shops.

    12-watch case $27.37 + $16.19 = $43.56

  • I've always wanted to buy or build something like this http://www.electric-watches.co.uk/other/images/forum/Watch%2…

But i'm kinda nervous about someone breaking into my house and voila, there's a whole collection of expensive watches neatly laid out to steal (much easier than trying to steal a TV and pawn it off)

As a result, I built a snazzy watch box (don't have any way of uploading the pic) for the everyday stuff, your Timex's and Hugo Boss etc, it holds around 50 watches but a couple of the drawers have bands and batteries and whatnot in them. And then the properly fancy ones are in a box in a nook between wall studs, behind a picture

And funnily enough, nowadays I also tend to wear my Mi Band 2 instead of a watch! Haha

    • at that point you may as well get a home safe and have it dynabolted to the house frame

  • This is how I store my watches.
    Professional.

  • I loaned my storage drawer to Disney for one of their movies
