Gas Struts (for Boot) for a 2009 Toyota Corolla Ascent, Where to Source? [FOUND]

Hi guys,

I'm looking for new gas struts (pictured here ). The struts have lost their internal pressure somehow and I just got hit in the head by a falling boot hatch…

This is the car I currently have:

I've tried googling various search terms on ALiexpress and eBay but I cannot find a compatible part. Most of the parts on Aliexpress are for much older vehicles and for the Versa line of Toyota MPV's.

Also drove to a car wrecker but they wanted an eye watering $330 dollars for a used pair.

Any ideas on where to find a replacement pair?

  On supercheaps site you can select your car and it shows all the parts available for it.
  I put in your car details (to the best of my knowledge) and found some Rear Hatch Gas Struts as shown here, they're located under the body parts section.
  There is no picture so im not 100% sure if they're the right ones but im quite confident, would definitely be worth going in/ calling up and asking

    Just got off the phone. Looks like they do have it as a special order, so no store pickups.

    I've also done some phone calls and car wrecking places have it for $40, while SuperCheap does the pair for $80.

    Should I save the $40 and get the used parts? Hmmmm..
