Just want your feedback about it. There are 5 games available. They are

Learn their first words. Eight categories available to choose.

** Numbers
Learn basic numbers, counting, sequence numbers and missing number.

** Memory Game
Remember the position of images they just open (flip card memory game)

** Animal Sounds
Listen to the animal sounds, a good learn for them before go to zoo.

** Guess Pictures
Guess the picture by opening each card to reveal partly of the image.

Thanks
andy

Well, some spelling and grammatical errors, eg. "Does your toddler start saying some words and keen to learn new things?.." should read "Does your toddler start saying some words and is keen to learn new things?" Or "Is your toddler starting to saying some words and is keen to learn new things?" Another is 'Varities' which I suppose is 'varieties'? Spelling of languages Portuguese, Indonesian, and Polish all need fixing as well and that is just looking at the description of the app as I did not bother to download it.

Your description above is clumsy too. "** Animal Sounds
Listen to the animal sounds, a good learn for them before go to zoo.

    ** Guess Pictures
Guess the picture by opening each card to reveal partly of the image."

Seeing these sort of errors probably would probably influence sales of the app.

    • thanks for advising my grammar issue. i will recheck wording on my app description.

    • thanks for the link

I'd have to agree with ausdday. Nothing beats talking to toddlers and reading to and with toddlers. A course I did around 6 years ago highlighted the statistic that 1 in 6 children used to experience eye tracking problems. Now with children using smart phones (and tablets) it's 1 in 3. As an ex primary school teacher I was amazed when doing some entry level testing for literacy and found that one child scored zero. Could not show where the front of the book was. Very sad.

    • No way is our toddler getting access to smart phones and tablets. Also issues of lack of movement, interpersonal relationship, emotional regulation and delayed gratification.

    • You are right, it is actually sad to see especially if toddlers cant be handled easily. Parents have no choice and end up giving tablets or phones to get their attention. its all depends on the way parents teach their kids. if they can balance it, i think it is fine.

  • On the flip-side, my just turned 4 year old can count to 100 unassisted and is starting to do basic addition, learned colours, numbers and letters at 2, and is starting to recognise words/read from the letters on signs and in books.
We read books too, but the actual interest and a vast majority of the learning has come courtesy of the tablet.
My 2yo who has only marginal interest in the tablet talks like a champ, but recognises no colours, numbers or letters..
YMMV and as with anything in life, moderation is required. to maximise benefits and minimise negatives.

My first comment from the first 10 seconds of trying the app is to localise the audio…
There's a ton of these apps with US voices… who cares? Give it an Australian accent or even a British one…

  • thanks for the feedback, i am actually in rush when create the app and after all it is actually my first official app which is not intended for app purchase.

The audio recording is from free online text to speech. So it is clumsy to be honest。Australian audio version sounds good.
