For those that purchased this lounge last year, can anyone comment on the quality and durability?
I can comment on this years. The quality is good and bad. The frame and components themselves seem good. The drilling work, on mine at least, is very poor. Holes for screws did not align without series manipulation and man handling. But once done ours all fine.

it'll be difficult to find someone who buys them , assemble them and try them in person.
Was comparing the two as well, I think for the extra $20 i'd rather go with Aldi to get the 12 month no questions asked return policy.
Can these be assembled so you can choose the side the chaise goes on?
Just got mine this morning (People weren't kidding about these being popular as an aside, I got the last one at my store and saw someone else with two of them on an industrial trolley)
Anyway, yeah the chaise can be assembled on either side if you can still find these for sale.

Someone should've told them there was a better deal at bunnings
@HarveySpecter: I wouldn't say it is a better deal. The Aldi one comes with extra cushions and 2 sets of covers (black and white which is apparently better than grey). To my wife this seemed important? Personally I can't believe a bunch of bogans having a fight in a shop over these and rushing into shops like its the end of the world. I picked up one of these at Redcliffe Aldi yesterday, they had 4 or 5 more left.

They were still selling these at my local Aldi months after the last sale. I think it was discounted to about $150 in the end.
