alwaysonsale.com no go?

I was looking at buying a simplehuman bin which costs >$350 at DJ/Myers. Alwaysonsale has em for about around $250 (http://www.alwaysonsale.com.au/aos/products/76076-simplehuma…). But they have a bad rep with the maglite deal here a while ago and got banned. I probably wont buy from them just from that episode but any one here ever tried them since? The same bin is under $200 at amazon but shipping is like another $200!

holy crap $350 for a bin? Does it convert the cans into block aluminum and sell it back to recyclers?

    • Thats what i was thinking , you would need to sell a lot of cans to validate this toy!

unfortunately the misus went out and bought this house which is about 12000 times more expensive than this bin. So now even bloody trash cans for the house has to look the part…ie no more $6 big W plastic bins for me :(

  • The fact that AlwaysOnSale farked up on the wording of a deal doesn't make them unreliable for general purchases…
I bought from them once, (before the Maglite deal I'm pretty sure) delivery was VERY slow but I got what i wanted (Vornado Fans) at the best price I could find by a long way.

  • I bought some cookware off them….took around 2 months for it to arrive, (first delivery went missing). They were not great at returning calls so had to hound them….but, eventually it turned up.
Standard delivery is very slow…….they recommend not to enquire about a delivery until at least 15 business days have passed, (half the time I've forgotten what I've bought by then).

Not sure I would use them again…..would have to be significantly cheaper than everywhere else.
