Chris Ringland CR Shiraz - $17 @ Dan Murphy's

130

Saw this advertised in the paper today. I bought a bottle on the weekend for $34 so looks to be half price. It was recommended to me by a friend and seems to get good reviews. At $17 it might be worth a look if you're still after a Father's Day present.

Other items included in this sale were:

Peroni Nastro Azzurro Bottles 330mL (Case of 24) - $39.95
Villa Maria Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc (Bottle) - $8.95
Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch Whisky 700mL - $37.95
Laurance Red Cabernet Merlot 2014 (Bottle) - $12.00

This is part of Father's Day deals for 2017.

  • Not half price at all. Varies from $30 (BWS) to $25 (Dan's).

    But excellent value, I agree.

    • I guess it depends when and where you buy it. I bought it for $34 at Dan Murphy's within the last few days so to me that puts it at half the price I paid.

      • Dan Murphys have another one by Chris Ringland called 'sealed' which is about that price. Did you maybe grab that one?

        • Checked the bottle last night - it was definitely the same one. Turns out the price I paid was actually $34.99! It does seem like that's not the 'normal' price though so I've removed the '50% off' from the title.

  • OP did you taste it yet?
    Can anyone recommend the Peroni?

    • +1

we drink this regularly (especially when on sale) - great wine for the price. The website says $16.20 a bottle if you buy 6 which is excellent value

      • $14.10 after cashrewards and if paying with Woolies evouchers bought at 7% off.

    • Yes, it's a great drop.

  • My palate must be shot … after having a bottle of CR Shiraz (over 2 nights, with dinner) and finding it very disappointing, I couldn't wait to open a bottle of my favourite value-for-money red, McGuigan Black Label Red $8 @ Dan's).

  • I was very happy to find this in my email from Dan this morning. I was about to buy a couple of bottles earlier in the week, but managed to resist. I think it was around $24 at the time. I won't be resisting at this price. Lovely Shiraz.
