Need colour printer for home use

Prefer:
Duplex - strongly prefer
ADF scanner
Cheap ink replacement - this is OzB!
Don't care:
ink vs laser
Brand
Photo quality - printing school projects not photo paper
Of course the better quality is nice if all other factors equal
Don't have a budget but home use so sensible $200-$300?

Duplex printing only, or scanning as well? Duplex scanning is harder to find in a lower price range.
I've found most Brothers are the best value for money. Canon isn't as much, but they cover the lower spectrum (sub $100, less features) instead. Both of which use non-chipped inks and (generally) separate colour inks, not combined.
