Which is your favourite/least favourite GoT season so far? **SPOILER ALERT**

still thinking which is my favourite but this season has got to be my least by far and here are my top “painful” scenes to watch

Ep1 – Ed Sheeran’s cameo

Ep2 – Grey Worm and Missandei’s love scene, death of Sandsnakes (beaten too easily)

Ep 3 – Bran stupidly talked about Sansa’s wedding night and not, I don’t know, little finger got their father killed, Jon is a Targaryen, white walkers are getting closer. why Highgarden’s forces were so easily wiped out considering in the previous season they showed off their military strength to protect Margaery from her potential walk of atonement

EP 4 – Jon’s reveal of the paintings in the cave of the first men and children of the forest fighting together against the undead. The forced romance between Jon and Danny

EP 5 – Dickon’s death. Maesters doing jack all and just twiddling their thumbs. I mean for crying out loud, these are suppose to be the smartest, most intelligent people in Westeros but with all their knowledge, books and studies, they’re still like “ooh, we don’t believe in the army of the dead even though the fact that a dragon has just appeared. this really annoyed me and it felt like the writers were just looking for a cheap exit

EP 6 – widget widget widget!, did I mention the widget expedition? Again, the force romance!

EP7 – Jon and Danny’s love scene. How quickly the wall was destroyed.

Just ranting.

Writer's efforts commensurate with tradies on a Friday afternoon. Totally slap dash and rushed.
Where dafaq did those giant chains appear from to pull the dead dragon from the lake and how were they attached?

    • yes!! I couldn't get that too! The fact that those undead can't swim doesn't help with how they were able to dive to Viserion and hook those heavy chains. and where the farq did they get the chains from? just sitting around somewhere handy?

    • I thought they had just been dredging for weeks with anchors. Considering Jon and co travelled from the south all the way to the north and back in like 5 minutes I didn't need to see hours of toil by the undead.

      Oh they used dolphin wights.

  • You should maybe add a "SPOILER ALERT" in the title. Best and worst part of the season was both when little finger died, he was such a a$$hat but given how much influence he has had in the story, deserved a grander death.

    • edited! thanks!

yes! I was like uh? that's it? quick and easy death after all that? at least push him through the moon door!!

      • There's apparently a cut scene how Sansa found out from his always live CCTV brother Bran.

    • Who said his story is over though…? Remember, we have a faceless man.

      • Probably best not to kill him in front of the entire town if you want to go down that path.

  • Watched three episodes of Season One.

    Should really get into it.

  • I can definitely see why people don't like the writing and rush of this season. But after 6 seasons of slow build-up, I personally enjoyed that it was kicked into the next gear, and would say season 7 is my favourite.

Season 7 needed 3 more episodes - they packed so much in the story stopped making sense.

Also Jamie riding horse in ankle deep water, gets knocked off into suddenly very deep water by bron. They reappear a kilometre or two away despite Jamie wearing armour.

that one where they are fighting.

I think I know the one you're talking about. The one where that character gets killed, right?

  • Horrible show

The first season was masterclass and the latest season was trash. Usually after the end of every seaosn I was left craving for more and I couldn't wait for the next season. After the end of this season, I was like "Meh, i'm not gonna miss it much".

I hated this particular season for a lot of reasons:

    • Supersonic travel
    • Ruin of everything Dorne (The place, the ruler, sand snakes)
    • Visual Overkill (Example: Drogon blowing up of the loot-train. I get burning the Lannister army but why destroy precious resources?)
    • Cheaply executed forced plot twists. (Example: They made it actually look like Arya and Sansa were having problems with each other even when Littlefinger wasn't around but then Lo and Behold, at the end it looked like they consipired together to bring Littlefinger down and even Bran seemed like he was in on it… ye naa, I didnt think it was a plot twist but just a messed up plot)
    • The insanely stupid Eastwatch plan. So ye, a bunch of people band up together to capture one wight like they know there are Whitewalker scout teams roaming around with no apparent purpose. Then they actually capture one wight which miraculously was the only one that didnt "fall apart" because it's "maker" didnt die. Then they attract the whole undead army, who are kept at bay for a while because it looks like they cant swim meanwhile the dumb suicide squad wait patiently on a conveniently placed rock while the lake freezes over instead of simply breaking the ice around them so that the wights cant get close. In the mean time, Gendry reaches Eastwatch, raven from Eastwatch gets reaches Dragonstone, Dany changes into a Winter Battlesuit and flies her fire puppies all the way to the lake to help Jon. Night King dude decides to shoot the moving dragon in the sky instead of the stationary dragon (which also happens to be the biggest and baddest one) thats carrying the suicide squad and Dany but he later decides to shoot Drogon too but only after the dragon starts flying. Maybe the night king doesnt like hitting targets on the land which is probably why he let the suicide squad rest all night on the rock while he could have easily just thrown icy spears and killed them all. Jon falls into the water and some wights actually seem like they know how to stay afloat but the Night King doesnt seem to care about Jon even though he saw him take down one of his generals at Hardhome. Uncle Benjen survives 6 seasons to deliver Jon his horse which cant carry the both of them cuz they are probably TOO FAT!
    • Cersie blurts out her entire plan to Jaime and lets him ride away. Not worried that he will ride straight to Dany and team and tell them her plans?
    • Ghost is lost.
    • The song of Fire and Ice is not probably not Jon but that Zombie Dragon cuz I dunno what it is spewing but it dont look like fire or ice.. IcyFire?
  • I thought this season was brilliant. My only complaint is that it all seemed rushed and some semi-major characters didn't get much screen time. I would have preferred if they stuck to their traditional 10 episodes. However, they did quite well given the circumstances. Now to go into hibernation until 2019.
