In store at Anaconda today (Kawana), they were clearing our their Jamis road bikes. These are very entry-level, Aluminium Frames and Fork, Sora shifters, Claris Derailleurs and Tektro brakes, Alex Rims but at $299 they're still an absolute steal.
I picked one up for my Son, had a short chat with the manager in the bike department and he confirmed that they are going out at below cost to clear-out stock. I don't think you'll get a better deal for a reasonable road bike.
I suspect it's nationwide, but maybe not all stores.
Not Sora shifters - they're Claris too.
Still a solid price though.
