SanDisk 32GB Ultra Backup USB Drive: $79 + $4.95 handling fee @ Officeworks website

90

The Officeworks website currently has the SanDisk 32GB Ultra Backup USB Drive (SDCZ400-32G-A11) for $79 with free shipping, which works out to be a total of $83.95 once the $4.95 handling fee is factored in.

Given that the cheapest price on StaticIce is $99 not including shipping, I think this is a pretty good deal for a 32GB Sandisk-branded flash drive given the capacity and backup feature.

Please note that this may be a pricing error as the 16GB version is priced at $89.97 (not including handling fee) which is greater than the 32GB model - see here.

If it is an error, Officeworks may or may not honour this price though if you're interested and are willing to take a punt, I would suggest that you place an order ASAP. I'd put in an order myself if it wasn't for the fact that I bought a Sandisk 16GB Cruzer Blade only yesterday :(

  • link is slow, but works for me.

  • Pretty nice for a major-store, major-brand deal!

Just note though - you can get the (probably faster) Corsair Voyager GTR 32GB sticks for around $90 from a lot of stores on static ice, if you're willing to put in the extra effort to get to the smaller stores.

EDIT: My bad, a lot of them might not be in stock…

  • Not so tempted since USB3 stick is getting cheaper.

    • Getting cheaper. however does it run faster than a good usb2 stick?
Checked a few brands out that has a usb3 stick, but they don't seem to perform better than a Patriot Rage XT or a good Corsair.

    it's an OK deal.
I am not voting positive or negative.

    off-topic:

wow….. for the price I can easily get a 500GB 2.5" external HDD instead.
the 2.5" is not that much bigger. Still fit in my pocket. and 1 USB cable is not hassle to me.
I wouldn't buy this for $50, not even for the convenience.

    • Good on you then.

    • just wait till you bump or drop that 500GB hdd. Or fit it in your pocket.

  • Superkieu, there are car headunits and Tv's with usb media playback that dont support for 2.5" HDD's.
I for one own both these devices and need a decent size USB stick. Good to see they are getting cheaper.

  • +1

Thanks GreenGuava. I just bought one from Fyshwick store.
