Hey all,
I'm thinking of buying a bunch of board games for my kids for Christmas and am on the look out for good deals. Obviously I have been checking second hand sites for them as they are considerably cheaper but no luck. So I am now resigned to getting them brand new.
The question: What stores have board games at a decent price or who regularly have sales (ebay or their own store)? Also after recommendations for good games as well for primary aged kids.

Have you tried op shops like St Vinnies and RSPCA? They don't advertise stock or prices online but if you have time to hit up a few stores that are near each other, you might find a real bargain. The pricetag is usually $2-5. From the three I bought from 2 different stores, they had all the pieces and one was even brand new. I suspected it was new because of the box condition and when I opened it, the tiles were still in sealed plastic.

For second-hand games you can't go past gumtree.
Bookdepository has a small selection of games at very good prices.

Gamesmen had some good deals on monopoly a few weeks ago. Don't know if it's still going.
I have found Gameology to be great for new board games: https://www.gameology.com.au/ , they are based in Australia, so delivery is prompt. Just be aware that the postage is a flat rate of $10, so you are better off buying a few games at once. They are also on ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/gameologyaus , so if you only want one or two games you could try waiting until ebay has their regular site wide discounts.
